To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Combine every ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the heat allowing it to cool down completely. Decant to a clean bottle, seal and store in the fridge, it can be stored for about a month.
For the Batch Mix: Mix all the spirits and syrup in a sizeable container, let it rest for 60 minutes, then strain best through muslin, making it perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml from the batch mix into your mixing glass packed with ice, and stir carefully for a minute to chill. Filter into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with some cranberries and complete it using a quick spritz with the mandarin essence above the glass.
